Welcome 2008!

Having just returned from vacation, I'm putting the finishing touches on a few Blog entries (which is writer's slang for, I have some ideas and haven't typed a flipping word of it).

However, I wanted to start a new segment ... News. Oooh, shiny. As things of interest happen and change in my life and perhaps in the culinary world, I will be posting them here.

I am also introducing for 2008, another new segment called Quick Thoughts. Yes, I know, very original...thank you, thank you. In all honesty though, I wanted someplace to just fire out a quick idea here or there, without feeling the necessity to write an entire entry.

I hope to branch out more with What Greg Eats, at the continued request from others I may post more recipes (most of which will appear in a "this is how I cooked something" format rather than just a copy/paste of some recipe.

I am also looking into exploring some new opportunities with the Blog and my writing, I've found it to be a very passionate hobby so far.

Keep the comments coming and I'll try to write something worth commenting on. I will be starting a diet soon (about time eh). But I prescribe to the philosophy that:

1. There is no such thing as a successful diet, there is just eating right vs. eating wrong.

2. There are great, healthy, savory, amazing foods in the world and one should never have to subsist on tasteless junk for the sake of health.
